PRACTICAL
Figure 1.1 Process #1, Week 8 (13/11/2025)
I began by masking the cans and adjusting the brightness of the background to make it appear cleaner and also to lighten the shadows at the edges of the picture. I then adjusted the brightness of the cans to make them brighter and more vibrant.

After that, I also masked the batteries and aligned them to the cans. It was then that I noticed that the angles of both my pictures didn't really match, but I fixed that using the warp tool.

I cleaned up the slightly blurred edges from warping using the eraser tool.

Figure 1.6 Process #6, Week 8 (13/11/2025)
The cans on the bottom layer made the shadows quite red, so I lowered the saturation all the way to remove the colour. Besides that, I also lowered the saturation of the yellows in the batteries to match the colours better.

I added shadows wherever necessary using both the brush tool and pen tool, then blurred them and lowered the opacity.

Then, I resized the whole image so the cans can stand out in the poster.
Figure 1.11 Process #10, Week 8 (15/11/2025)
I added a red gradient background to match the red in the batteries and added some grain for texture. I also changed the blending mode of the background to multiply so the shadows from the original image can show through.

Finally, I added text to better complement and support the poster.

REFLECTION
This project was quite interesting to do. Although I was rushing to get it done, it was still pretty fun to work on and didn't take too long. Throughout the process, I feel like I've familiarised myself more with the tools in Photoshop, especially the ones I don't usually use, like the warp tool. I also did initially struggle with how I wanted the poster to look, aside from knowing that I wanted some bold text, but in the end, I'm quite satisfied with the outcome.
